Adchieve Amazon Module

So far, Amazon has managed to become the market leader in every focus country. Amazon has more than 112 million Prime members in the US. Despite Amazon’s already very dominant position in the global e-commerce market, the marketplace is getting ever bigger. Currently, there are no less than three million active sellers on Amazon. Of those, 10% have an annual turnover of more than $ 100,000

Amazon vs Google

Amazon is working hard to break the duopoly in the digital advertising market. Google and Facebook have dominated this market for a long time and together hold around 60% of the market. Google is losing market share, though, and this is mainly due to Amazon. If you look at the US, you’ll see that Amazon’s market share increased from 6.8% to 8.8% in 2019. That’s a huge leap when you consider that Amazon is only active in the retail segment.

The advertising market within Amazon has been growing for several years now and the expectation is that it will continue to grow at the same pace for the time being. The growth is partly caused by the fact that an increasing number of people start their search on Amazon rather than on Google. Between 2015 and 2018, Amazon has surpassed Google where it concerns product-related searches.

Amazon is particularly strong when it comes to generic searches, whereas Google searches are more focused on brands, relatively speaking.

Despite the relatively large share of generic searches, conversion rates on Amazon are around 3 times higher than on Google. This can be explained by the ease and speed at which you can purchase products within the Amazon environment. People are often logged in already, the shipping address is known and the credit card is linked, too.

Adchieve Amazon module

Within our software we’ve developed a module that focuses specifically on advertising on Amazon.

Amazon PPC basically starts with the right campaign structure and finding the most relevant keywords for your products. Your product feed is an important source for finding the right keywords. Using the Adchieve feed module you can extract data from your product feed, adapt and combine them. This forms the main basis for constructing your campaign.

In addition to the keywords from your product feed, you can use Adchieve to retrieve data from your Google Shopping and Google Search campaigns that have performed well in the past. You can easily set the KPIs that you want to use to make the selection and link them to the right products. Adchieve then automatically sends these keywords on to your Amazon campaigns via the API. This approach enables you to use the wealth of data that you have built up with Google in the past to make a quick start on Amazon.
